I wanted to blog yesterday, but the blogger was down! What a shame! Never mind, I shall start today's recording by thanking all the Ringers. They were awesome! and i must thank all the guest performancers too! They were fantastic too! So Here it goes....
We Sec 2s arrived at 9 in the morning instead of 12 because we wanted to make something for the graduating batch. Though the results were quite horrifying, these were our gifts to them and we shall always remeber them as wonderful seniors! Well, we made a mess and had to spend some time cleaning up before going to the bells rm to "report". Then, we set off for Far East for lunch! We had chicken rice (spend some time looking for this stall!!!) along with some of my cute little juniors! Haha... chicken rice was delicious! Then we set off again, with my conductor's teddy (a gift we got her....wah...ran up and down far east buliding for it!!) and her chicken rice.... another gift which was far more practical. We ran after bus 105 and ended up as stinking people because of the sweat. Luckily, the bells rm is air conditioned though my senior said we stink! '_'
Then we waited and waited for the bus to come. Finally, i came!! And we girls carried out the "MM" -- Moving Mission. Haiz... a horrible job, shld have gotten some coolies to do it lor! Too bad, we HAD a budget to keep to!! So we dragged, pulled, carried, sweated, groaned, laughed, dragged, pulled, carried, sweated, groaned, laughed and finally got all the stuff onto the foyer!! Yay!! And we waited for the bus people to help us load the stuff into a van, before we loaded ourselves into the bus. Man, the bus was SMALL!! We had 30+ of us and not including the cushions we had to pull along with us! School, can you be more gernerous in terms of budget?? Thanks!!! So we got onto the bus, with all the barang barang (ie. gowns, court shoes, bags, cushions) squeezed around us and finally, we reached our destination. But I get car-sick easily so you shoudl know what happened. No. I didn't puke, I got a headache. My, I was so sowrried I wouldn't be able to concentrate during the concert beacuse of this headche, givng me another reason to be headache of. Luckily, it "subsided" before the concert.
Once again, we loaded the stuff and us off the bus and went into the Esplanade. There's so many escalators and twists and turns! Finally, we got ourselves in front of a big big big humungous gigantic lift. And about 60% of us got into it and went up. The rest of us waited and waited for the lift to come down again. But, i didn't. So we had to asked for help from the guard. So we got help and was STILL stuck. The lift can't come down. Haiz....so another 10+ of us squeezed (our bells were still downstairs) into a mini lift and went up, where we found out the the big big big humungous gigantic lift was on the "door lock" mode. So me and my junior unlocked it and went down where we met our conductor again, this time coming up with the bells. She was saying "How smart...How smart..." Haha...silly right??
Then we got into the dressing room and changed into our gowns because it was suppose to be a "full-dress rehearsal". Everything was on, but not the make-up yet. First was the technical run, then it was the real full run. Aiyo....im so nervous and it's not even the real thing!
~Time passes~And it was time for dinner. Aiyo, we got nasi lemak and there's chilli (the thing i don't really love.) So we ate along with our scores (reading lar) and finally, we had to put on make-up. Wahaha.....the process was so funny. I haven't put on make-up since I was 6 (K2, I had to perform a funny dance on stage.) So hands and legs were everywhere. Blushes fly, foundations were applied and....wahaha....it was so funny!!! But then, after all the laughing, it was 15mins away from concert already! NOW, was the tike to panick.
My conductor did a visualization exercise with us to help us to breathe and she gave each of us a rose! (The first one I received from sb in my life!!) yay!! She's so sweet!! Then....it was performance....
I cannot talk much about performance because it was too much to write about. But I just have to say my seniors are awesome. And although i made quite a number of mistakes, I'm still very happy about this concert and it would be indelibly etched in my mind!! Once again Raffles Ringers Rawks! (I'll really understand if people think I am over obssessed '_' ")
O yar, forgot to mention the inflexible E people. We can't go on stage or stay on stage after performance or during interval because they'll CHARGE us!! Say what it against the rules ...blah...blah...anyway, 1 word for them "INFLEXIBLE"!!!
So, after performance, we had to hurry up and change out og our gowns and stuff everything into our bags and finally, RAN out of the dressing room, to the stage door where we met out friends and family!! Thanks family and friends!! Heehee, i got stuff from them!! Actaully gifts!! Yay!! haha...so after much hugging and talking....we had to leave again, back to the bells, where we had to take them back to RGS.
Once again, the bells got onto the van and we got onto the bus. Wah....everyone was so tired. But haha.....we still had 2 cakes to cut when we were back at RGS. The cakes are from the Sec 2s (us!! Remind me to pay huiyi the cake $$!!) Thank you huiyi's mum for helping us to buy the cakes! And we took many pictures and obviously we ate the cakes!! haha....then it was getting too late, so we were shooed out of the bells rm to go home.
Heehee....but then who can go home when we were in such a "high spirit"?? So YJ's famil and mine went to newton to eat. We eat until we wanna sleep, then we went home!! So after getting home, i practicall wiped the makeup off, brushed my teeth and then plopped on the bed to sleep. What a wonderful night it was. How i wish next yr's concert can come quickly!!
Once again, thanks to everybody and bye my sec4 seniors we would miss you! you must also come back and visit us even after ur graduations okay?? So Hip Hip Hurray for Ringers and Corrine...thank you very much for this wonderful memories you all gave me! I would treasure them along with the pictures taken!! O yar, anybody who wants the photos, don't hestitate to get them from me if you want!!
